Job description
The Western Asia HR Manager oversees all the human resources topics related to subsidiaries and sites of China, Korea, and Russia of Vilmorin-Mikado Asia (exclude Japan). The Western Asia HR Manager is responsible for leading and managing human resources operations across multiple countries within the assigned region. This role reports to Asia Unit HR Manager, and partners closely with General Managers and Managers responsible for each sites, to support organizational growth, talent management, employee engagement, compliance, and HR operational excellence. The position ensures alignment of local HR practices with regional HR strategies while considering country-specific labor laws and cultural differences, with the support of local HR or team members.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all sorts of HR operations initiatives (both hands on and not) across multiple countries within the assigned region.
Act as a strategic HR business partner to regional leadership and management teams.
Ensure compliance with local labor laws, employment regulations, and company policies in each country.
Coordinate HR projects, policy implementation, and change management activities.
Cover LPC (Legal, Policy & Compliance) topics for the responsible countries with the strong support of legal department in Japan.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 7–10 years of progressive HR experience, including regional or multi-country responsibilities. LPC (Legal, Policy & Compliance) is also welcomed experience to be considered.
Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR practices across different countries.
Experience working in a multinational or matrix organization.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
High level of integrity and accountability, with the ability to work independently.
Ability to work effectively across cultures and manage diverse teams.
Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Fluent English communication skills; additional Asian language skills are an advantage.
Willingness to travel internationally as required.
