Function

Reporting to the Selection Manager, within a team of 7 people, this open position follows an internal reorganization and a mobility within the company.

Main Goal

You will develop new varieties of peas and witloof, and you will also supervise the breeding bean and radish team, by :

  • Defining and deploying the breeding strategy

  • Contributing to cross-functional projects with other R&D teams (Limagrain Group or partners)

  • Managing the Bean/Radish Breeder and supervising breeding assistants

  • Collaborate closely with other company departments (laboratories, marketing, sales, seed production, etc.)

  • Conducting scientific, technological and competitive monitoring in your field of expertise, and proposing ways of innovation.

Traveling: 4–5 weeks per year (France and Europe). Professional-level in English is mandatory, French would be an asset.

What we expect of you

With a Master’s or PhD degree in genetics or plant breeding, you have significant experience in both breeding and team management. You therefore master trial management, field observations, and data analysis. You know how to organize and run a breeding program using the latest technologies. You are rigorous, well-organized, and persistent, and you can work both independently and as part of an international team.
