Function

 

As the Global Head of Finance for Vilmorin-Mikado, you play a central role in steering the financial strategy of a multicultural, fast‑growing Business Unit within Limagrain Vegetable Seeds (LVS). You will report directly to the CEO of Vilmorin‑Mikado, with a functional line to the Head of Finance of LVS, and act as a key member of the Strategic Committee (StratCom).

Main Goal

 
You are responsible for leading all financial and legal activities of the BU, supporting strategic decision‑making, ensuring compliance and accurate reporting, and driving a transformation from reporting to true financial steering.
You also contribute actively to Ambition 2030 at Limagrain Group level.

Job description

 

1/ Strategic Leadership

  • Implement the financial strategy of Limagrain Vegetable Seeds within the BU in collaboration with the StratCom.
  • Act as a strategic business partner to the CEO and leadership team, providing analyses, simulations, and financial scenarios to support decisions.
  • Lead the consolidation of data for budget, forecasts, and the 3‑year Business Plan.
  • Bring expertise to external growth opportunities and assess investments.

 

2/ Financial Performance Management

  • Provide relevant financial indicators, dashboards, and action plans to improve business performance.
  • Oversee long‑term planning, cost control, KPIs, internal policies, and performance monitoring.
  • Ensure a reliable cash‑flow projection process and sound working‑capital management.

 

3/ Team & Organizational Management

  • Lead and develop Finance and Legal teams across France, Japan, and regional subsidiaries.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS, GAAP, local regulations, and Group standards.
  • Recruit, mentor, and support the development of key talents within a matrix organization.
  • Support deployment of ERP, BI, EPM and AI tools.

 

4/ Business Partnering

  • Advise managers and senior leaders on financial topics and asset management.
  • Provide consultative support through financial analysis, reporting, and recommendations.

 

5/ Stakeholder Relationships

  • Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and internal partners.
  • Actively contribute to the LVS Finance Leadership Team and to Ambition 2030 initiatives.

What we expect of you

 

  • Master’s degree in Finance / Accounting; Chartered Accountant or equivalent preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in CFO or senior finance leadership roles in complex, international environments.
  • Strong expertise in matrix organizations and multicultural teams.
  • Fluent in English and French.
  • Experience in the seeds sector or life‑sciences industry is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems; deployment experience appreciated.
