Function

As Product Manager for Carrot in Asia, you will drive the global growth and profitability of the crop by defining and executing strategic plans across the region. You will act as a key link between Marketing, R&D, Sales, and Supply teams, transforming market insights into impactful product and business strategies.

Main Goal

Crop Strategy & Business Leadership

  • Define and lead the crop strategy for the Asia region
  • Set growth ambitions, market share targets, and strategic orientations
  • Guide Research programs and define product profile
  • Drive execution through action plans, performance tracking, and corrective measures
  • Animate Development and Sales teams to deliver the plan and to support business activation.
  • Ensure growth and profitability of the crops through market share increase and new products launching.

Market intelligence:

  • Maintain deep and up-to-date knowledge of Asia markets
  • Anticipate trends in agronomy, customer needs, and consumer expectations
  • Lead benchmarking and competitive intelligence initiatives

Lifecycle and Products’ management:

  • In collaboration with other divisions and the rest of team, to manage products life cycle and the products range at worldwide level, within the objective of turnover and margin growth, with the support of Production, Supply and Development departments.
  • Ensure NPI (New Product Introduction) Process and follow up development plans for new products with the Breeders, the Supply and the Development teams.
  • Recommend the global positioning of the varieties (targeted markets, Rock bottom price per area, Development targets in terms of countries and customers, …).
  • Define strategic varieties and to co-build and validate the Launching plans for the new strategic products.
  • Supervise and challenge Sales business plans and forecasts with a leadership on Sales & Operations process. To maintain proactivity on stock management and actively participate to Production plan.
  • Be accountable of markets’ requirements in terms of quality and ensure their respect through Quality Chart.

Business Performance & Profitability

  • Accountable for the overall profitability of the crops and to drive the strategy with a financial approach by monitoring the costs, the margin and the inventory level through different KPIs.
  • Provide appropriate recommendations in terms of Go-to-market approaches, added-value pricing approaches, new concepts, commercial and technical information.

Innovation:

  • Foster innovation by developing new concepts and new products in collaboration with Breeders and local Development & Sales teams.

Products’ Promotion:

  • Define and  implement the products’ promotional strategy for the crops, in consistency with the overall crop’s strategic plan

 

Profile

  • Master’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, or Business
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic marketing or agribusiness
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects
  • Excellent communication and team leadership skills
  • Comfortable working in a multicultural and international environment
  • Willingness to travel frequently (~40%)  and long travel
  • Good ability to with in collaboration with other team members
  • Experience in Asia market would be a plus
  • Fluent English (mandatory)
  • Additional languages (Chinese, Japanese, French) are a plus

Your benefits and working environment

Compensation (depending on profile), including a 13th-month salary paid monthly

Status: Executive, day-rate package (forfait jours), with 14 to 19 RTT days per year
