Job description

You will be a great fit if you have experience similar to: 

  • Organize and execute projects in the lab, greenhouse, and field (95% of total activity)
  • Ensure plant care and maintenance in greenhouse and growth chamber conditions
  • Responsible for maintenance, collection, and disposal of plant materials from greenhouse
  • Gather and summarize lab results and perform labor tracking via written and/or computer entries
  • Prepare media and plant pathogen cultures in the lab
  • Perform lab and greenhouse housekeeping duties including glassware cleaning, equipment maintenance, etc. 
  • Keep records of activities required in routine application accountabilities in a timely and accurate manner
  • Daily reporting of activities to manager and accountability for time spent on activities
  • Assist and/or execute diagnostic assays
  • Support station phytosanitary activities and adhere to company guidelines
  • Follow all workplace safety rules, regulations, standards, and practices
  • Other duties as assigned

What we expect of you

To be considered, you will need:

 

  • High School diploma or Bachelor’s degree in biology, agriculture, or related life science discipline.
  • Experience working in agriculture or biological sciences desirable
  • English language written and spoken
  • Proficient math comprehension
