Within the Cell Biology central discovery team, you will propose and lead projects focused on plant cell biology and in vitro culture (eg. Double Haploid);
Job description
- As an Expert, you will contribute to the development and deployment of the Limagrain Group Vegetable Seeds' (LVS) global research strategy, in line with LVS R&D governance (project lifespan, budget cycles, and reporting).
- You will be responsible for developing innovative protocols (streamlining and accelerating selection processes, etc.), focused on continuous improvement, and may supervise a team of cell biology technicians, junior researchers, and apprentices on these projects.
- In this role, you will also manage scientific and technological monitoring, competitive intelligence, the exploration and implementation of new tools, and the creation of new collaborations and partnerships.
- You will work closely with the Application Teams for the effective transfer and implementation of new protocols, as well as the IP (intellectual property) team for freedom to operate.
- Finally, you will ensure the traceability and reporting of laboratory activities, as well as safety within the laboratory and compliance with CSR policies.
What we expect of you
Ideally, you hold a PhD in cell biology, in vitro culture, or biotechnology. You have solid expertise in plant biology and in vitro culture, and knowledge of haplomethods, protoplast cultures, interspecific crosses, possibly chromosomal recombination, or cucurbit cultures. As a project manager, you are proficient in project management (developing proposals, defining work plans, deliverables, and resource management). You demonstrate good analytical and synthesis skills, which will enable you to coordinate (transversal) teamwork. Previous experience working in a multicultural/multidisciplinary environment would be a plus. For this position, fluent English is required, and basic French is recommended.
