Job Description: 

Function

As an Information Systems Business Process Engineer at LVS Research, you will operate at the intersection of information systems and plant breeding processes. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, including breeders, applied geneticists and breeding managers from Business side and experts from Information Teams side, to understand business needs, analyze workflows, and implement efficient and effective information systems solutions. As a BPE for your geographical region, you will interact with the others BPEs in the teams and others scientist (biostatistician, data analysts) to benchmark different practices and to identify best practices and drive continuous improvement.

You will play a crucial role in aligning information processes and practices with the strategic goals of the LVS BUs. Your efforts will contribute to the development of business intelligence analyses to promote data-driven strategies and speed up the enhancement of plant breeding programs through innovative information technologies.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with breeders, applied geneticists, and breeding managers to identify and understand business requirements.
  • Workflow Analysis: Analyze existing workflows to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Solution Implementation: contribute to the drawing and implement information systems solutions that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of plant breeding processes.
  • Change management: challenge the practices and usage. Design and implement guides, protocols, and training to support the adoption of the tools and enhance over time the efficiency of the teams.
  • Data Management: Ensure robust data capture, storage, and usage practices to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Process Optimization: Continuously optimize business processes to align with the goals and objectives of the three LVS Business Units (BUs).
  • Support and Development: Provide ongoing support and development for critical processes related to data management.

 

Region of Interest: Northern Europe: Focus on breeding programs in Northern Europe, encompassing the three LVS BUs and approximately 70 personnel.
Localization of the position: Can be on one breeding stations of the three Bus, in Netherland or in Anjou Region or on  Auvergne region at the proximity of the IT and LVS teams.
