Main Goal

As an Information Systems Business Process Expert (BPE) at LVS Research, you will operate at the intersection of information systems and plant breeding operations. You will partner closely with breeding managers, breeders, applied geneticists, and Information Systems teams (IT) to understand business needs, analyze workflows, and deliver efficient, scalable information system solutions.

As the BPE for your assigned region- India, Japan, Israel and Turkey- you will collaborate with other regional BPEs (AMPA and EMEA) and scientific partners (biostatisticians, data analysts, and informatics teams) to benchmark practices, identify best-in-class approaches, and drive continuous improvement across breeding programs.

Job description

• Work directly with breeders, applied geneticists, and breeding managers to gather business requirements and translate them into practical system and process improvements.
• Map, analyze, and improve existing workflows, identifying inefficiencies and implementing concrete, measurable improvements.
• Design and deliver user guides, protocols, and training sessions to ensure effective adoption of information systems and data tools.
• Ensure accurate data capture, proper data storage, and consistent data usage to support operational and analytical needs.
• Actively challenge current practices and support teams through change by providing hands-on guidance and continuous follow-up.
• Collaborate with other BPEs and informatics teams to share lessons learned, align practices, and support standardization across business units.
• Provide continuous operational support for critical data management and business processes.

What we expect of you

• Master’s degree or PhD in genetics, breeding, data analysis, or a related discipline.
• Practical knowledge of crop breeding workflows and field operations.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on execution and results.
• Comfortable working directly with users and addressing day-to-day challenges.
• Clear, practical communication style.
• Proficiency with information systems and data management tools.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently across Asia (India and Japan) to meet breeders and to France to meet other BPE and IT teams.
