As part of an R&D team responsible for the application development of our B2B ingredients for the Bakery, Culinary, and Nutrition industries, we are seeking a Senior Technical and Application Support Engineer. This is a key role at the heart of the growth of our Bakery & Pastry business in Europe (including the United Kingdom).
As a senior engineer, you will serve as the technical point of contact for the sales teams. You will be at the center of the rollout of a major nutritional and clean-label innovation launched less than three years ago. Your expertise will help unlock the full potential of our ingredients: you will demonstrate their performance, ensure their safe implementation, and support customers in their use. 

Main Goal

Our main responsibilities will include to : 
- Provide technical advice on our ingredients to the sales team and customers in Europe and the UK
- Lead a customer development project, including conducting application tests in our laboratories (in France or the Netherlands). 
- Conduct application tests at customers’ laboratories or production facilities
- Prepare and presente finished products containing our ingredients to customers
- Participate in the development, characterization, and promotion of new ingredients
- Monitor industry literature and competitive intelligence

Job description

As part of a team specializing in Bakery and Culinary, based in the Puy-de-Dôme and Pas-de-Calais regions, you will work at the heart of a multidisciplinary and international ecosystem.
Reporting directly to the R&D Manager of the Bakery Culinary division, you will collaborate daily with the R&D, sales (France, Netherlands, UK), marketing, production, and quality teams, with a focus on co-creation and finding high-value-added solutions.
Based in Riom, within the Bakery Pastry Application Laboratory, you will be a hands-on professional: the role involves frequent travel to client sites and industrial facilities, which is essentisal for supporting projects and ensuring their success.

What we expect of you

You hold a master’s degree or a degree from an engineering school in food science and technology and have at least 10 years of experience in the food industry, in production and/or R&D, ideally in the areas of bread, pastries, and confectionery.
You possess recognized expertise in ingredients and industrial processes, enabling you to confidently participate in industrial trials, ensure the safety of applications, and provide high-value-added technical solutions to clients.
Comfortable in an international environment, you are fluent in English, both written and spoken, and are able to interact with a variety of stakeholders (sales teams, customers, partners).
You are proficient in standard office software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and can quickly adapt to new digital tools to support your work and field interactions.
Your professional approach combines teamwork with a high degree of autonomy: you are able to make technical decisions, particularly during industrial trials, and to move forward proactively in a demanding environment.
With an excellent customer-focused mindset, you build lasting relationships based on trust, adopt a solutions-oriented approach, and actively contribute to effective collaboration with both clients and internal teams.
