Join Limagrain Field Seeds Research and contribute to the success of our breeding programs by ensuring the smooth flow of essential resources that drive innovation in plant breeding.

As a Transport Manager (M/F), you will oversee the organization and coordination of seed and research material shipments, both within France and internationally. You will ensure that every shipment reaches the right destination, at the right time, while meeting quality, traceability, and regulatory compliance requirements.

Beyond day-to-day operational management, you will play an active role in continuously improving our processes and helping our organization evolve to achieve greater efficiency and reliability.

Main Goal

As Transport Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

- Lead and manage a team of 3 employees on a day-to-day basis. You will provide clear direction, set objectives, foster team spirit, and support the professional development of your team members. You will ensure workplace safety and play a key role in strengthening collaboration with the wider Breeding Support teams. You will also coordinate with all internal and external stakeholders involved in transport activities, understanding their needs and priorities and making decisions when necessary.

- Manage and coordinate the flow of seeds and research materials across France and internationally. You will organize shipments according to the needs of the teams, manage urgent deliveries during critical periods, and ensure the reliability, compliance, and traceability of all shipments. You will regularly monitor transport operations and take appropriate action when unexpected issues arise to ensure secure and timely deliveries.

- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and quality requirements related to research activities, particularly international transportation, customs procedures, phytosanitary regulations, and traceability.

- Manage approved transport service providers, ensuring service quality, operational reliability, and compliance with contractual commitments. Working closely with Group teams, you will contribute to monitoring service performance and continuously improving transport operations. You will investigate and manage transport incidents, define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and implement appropriate corrective actions. In an international environment characterized by tight deadlines and fluctuating transport requirements, you will identify and develop the most suitable transport solutions, balancing service quality, cost efficiency, regulatory compliance, and shipment security.

- Drive continuous improvement and digitalization initiatives within transport operations. You will lead projects aimed at improving overall process performance, reducing lead times, costs, and handling operations, while enhancing operational reliability. You will identify risks associated with your activities and develop appropriate action plans.

- Work closely with international R&D teams to develop integrated solutions that contribute to the overall efficiency of research operations.

- Oversee budget monitoring within your scope of responsibility, including invoice verification, expenditure tracking, and transport cost analysis.

- Provide hands-on operational support when required, acting as a back-up for import-export operations as well as certain goods receiving and shipping activities.
