Function

 

Limagrain Field Seeds, an agricultural cooperative specialized in field crop seeds in Europe, is recruiting a Corn Trial Technician (M/F) to support its research activities.
The position is based in Longué-Jumelles, France.

Reporting to the Trial Manager, you will organize and carry out a range of activities both at the research station and in the field.

Main Goal

 

 

You are independently responsible for several trial locations.

You select the trial plots in coordination with the farmer.

You set up the trials from both an IT and technical perspective, ensuring compliance with and verification of established protocols.

You organize and carry out sowing operations.

You monitor your trial network and recommend scoring activities to be initiated.

You manage the crop management itinerary of the plots in collaboration with the farmer.

You organize and carry out harvest operations.

You ensure the control and validation of the phenotypic data generated across your trial network.

You supervise a team of seasonal workers. In this capacity, you organize tasks, train new staff for their roles, and ensure compliance with protocols and current safety standards.

You operate specialized agricultural equipment for silage and grain harvesting and use onboard software during harvest operations.

You manage the two peak activity periods during the year—sowing and harvesting—which involve travel across Western France.

You maintain technical monitoring regarding developments in equipment and cultivation techniques.

What we expect of you

Do you hold a BTS in Agriculture or a Professional Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture?

And do you have experience operating specialized agricultural equipment for field trials?

Then this position is likely to interest you!

A heavy goods vehicle license (EC) would be a plus, and you are willing to obtain it if necessary.
Operational English (Level 3) would also be an asset.
