Function
Limagrain is a company exclusively specialized in seeds, with strong agricultural roots.
Under its international brand, Limagrain Field Seeds, the company develops innovative solutions based on a multi-species offering through 20 subsidiaries worldwide.
Limagrain Field Seeds Research is currently seeking a Genotyping Team Manager (M/F) for a permanent position (CDI), as part of a replacement following an internal career progression.
Reporting to the Molecular Analysis Laboratory and based at the Chappes Research Center, you will organize and ensure the smooth execution of genotyping activities carried out for Limagrain Field Seeds' breeding teams and global seed production teams.
Main Goal
1. Genotyping Team Management
You lead and supervise the genotyping team on a daily basis, ensuring a collaborative and stimulating work environment.
You optimize human resource management (scheduling, absences, leave, part-time work, etc.) in alignment with production needs and the plan defined by the production committee.
You drive the team with a focus on collective performance through the organization of regular meetings, collaborative workshops, and open discussion sessions.
You are responsible for recruiting, onboarding, and training new team members. You monitor skill development, support career progression, and conduct annual performance reviews.
2. Quality, Continuous Improvement, and Safety
You implement quality management tools and methods within a continuous improvement approach (LEAN Management), in alignment with strategic projects led by the platform manager.
You ensure compliance with safety standards within the team and make sure that all safety instructions are clearly communicated, understood, and strictly followed.
3. Contribution to Platform Strategy
You actively contribute to the management of cross-functional continuous improvement projects within the molecular analysis platform.
You represent the genotyping team at weekly production committee meetings and in the platform’s managerial bodies.
4. Monitoring and Reporting
You provide regular reporting to your management: sharing key information, activity summaries, alerts, and recommendations for adjustments.
You identify and report any situation with an impact beyond your team’s scope to ensure appropriate handling at the platform level.
