Function

Sunflower Breeding Associate

Main Goal

  • Contribute to the advancement of superior cultivars for target markets in Argentina.
  • Conduct phenotyping and quality data analysis to support plant breeders.
  • Manage teams involved in both field and office-based activities.

Job description

  • Participate in the development of new cultivars using the germplasm available within the Limagrain Group.
  • Collaborate on conversion projects involving different trait platforms, including transgenic events and production technologies.
  • Use global germplasm appropriately, following Limagrain standards regarding Freedom to Operate (FTO) and respecting intellectual property regulations.
  • Maintain the breeding information system and related databases up to date.
  • Participate in the hybrid advancement process.
  • Comply with safety and environmental standards as required by the relevant Limagrain department to ensure that all research activities are conducted safely.
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives and in the development and implementation of the company's Integrated Management System.
  • Participate in the organization and coordination of winter nurseries.
