Purpose of the role

Limagrain Field Seeds is a leading agricultural company dedicated to enhancing the digital presence and customer engagement in the agricultural sector. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Marketing to lead our marketing strategy and operations across Europe.

The Head of Marketing Europe will lead the BSA Europe Marketing organization and activities, overseeing the development and implementation of a fully integrated marketing strategy. This role involves using market intelligence, product development & portfolio management, product and customer marketing, and communication to increase brand awareness, customer acquisition, and offer positioning within the marketplace. The Head of Marketing will contribute to achieving Limagrain Field Seeds' short, mid, and long-term financial and business objectives

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and execution of the overall Europe strategy and plans as a member of the BSA Europe COMEX (Executive Committee).
  • Collaborate with the Strategic Marketing team to elaborate crop strategy and implement it in Europe.
  • Lead, guide, and develop the European Marketing team, ensuring the availability of required competencies and capacities.
  • Continuously monitor marketing performance and efficiency, developing appropriate initiatives and KPIs to improve and monitor it.
  • Lead marketing partnerships with third parties at the European level.
  • Build and develop marketing excellence throughout the organization, including change management in terms of process, tools, and organization.
  • Collaborate closely with the Sales department to drive and support the implementation of Sales & Marketing excellence.
  • Work closely with Research and Global Strategic Marketing to identify market needs and help define breeding goals.
  • Design and implement trials network to evaluate experimental products across BSA Europe.
  • Manage product registration, value, and positioning of the product portfolio.
  • Lead European Crop Teams to improve crop profitability and manage connections between Business and Supply.
  • Develop and deliver customer marketing strategies aiming at customer acquisition and retention.
  • Transform the organization into a customer-focused entity, enhancing customer segmentation, CRM, go-to-market strategies, and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop the external communication strategy, manage media inquiries, and oversee brand consistency.
  • Collect and analyze market intelligence data to support marketing crops and prepare performance dashboards.

What we expect of you

  • Minimum of a Master's degree in Agronomy.
  • At least 10 years of experience in sales, marketing, and development in the seed industry.
  • Proven track record of success in senior marketing roles.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Strong knowledge of marketing principles, brand, product, and service management.
  • Deep agronomic knowledge and understanding of Research, Production, and Supply chain in the seed industry.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong strategic and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Passionate customer advocacy.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
