Function

 

 

Under the temporary reporting line to the Business Line CEO of Limagrain Field Seeds (LFS) and in close collaboration with the Africa Territory teams, you will lead the strategy and performance of the entire BSA Africa perimeter (South Africa, WECA, and partnerships with SeedCo).
You play a key role in driving the development, transformation, and profitability of the region, ensuring alignment with Limagrain Field Seeds standards and the implementation of synergies with our partners.

Key Responsibilities

 

1/ Strategic Leadership

  • Contribute to defining the Africa strategy: segmentation, GTM approach, R&D orientation.
  • Propose and adapt the BSA organization to support short- and long-term objectives.
  • Drive the operational and financial roadmap for BSA Africa.

 

2/ Operational Management

  • Lead the Head of South Africa and the WECA Team, ensuring capability development and strong engagement.
  • Oversee transversal functions (HR, Finance, Operations, R&D…) to secure effective support.
  • Ensure alignment and integration of processes across LFS entities and African operations.

 

3/ Partnership & Governance

  • Contribute to SCL and SCI Operational Committees to support transformation initiatives.
  • Manage the strategic relationship with SeedCo, ensure proper execution of the TSA, and monitor joint activities.
  • Represent LFS to local authorities and key external stakeholders.

 

4/ Business Performance & Risk

  • Monitor and drive performance indicators: EBITDA, cash contribution, HR & risk KPIs.
  • Ensure compliance, risk mitigation, and deployment of LFS standards across the region.
  • Support revenue growth and market share development.

What we expect of you

 

Education : Master’s degree in Business, Agriculture, Management, or related field.

 

Experience

  • Proven experience in international leadership roles with full P&L accountability.
  • Strong knowledge of the seed industry and African markets.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage strategic partnerships and lead transformation.

  • Strong leadership with the ability to unite multicultural teams.
  • Solid business acumen, performance management, and risk assessment skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing capabilities.

 

Personal Attributes : Strategic thinker, results-driven, adaptable, capable of navigating complex international contexts.

 

Languages : Fluent in English; French is a strong asset.
