Head of Finance
Main Goal
Limagrain Cereal Seeds (LCS) is seeking an experienced professional to join our team as Head of Finance, based in Windsor, Colorado. This role provides financial leadership and oversight, including accounting and reporting, budgeting and forecasting, strategic financial planning, and coordination of local compliance, HR-related processes and IS/IT topics. Reporting to the Limagrain Cereal Seeds Head, the position works closely with local and global stakeholders, supporting operations in the United States and Canada.
Job description
- develop financial strategies by forecasting capital, facilities, project and staff requirements for the BSA;
- provide financial tools, dash boards, develop KPIs and processes to meet LCS’ finance and administration needs;
- work closely with the Head of BSA and functions for annual budgeting, mid-term plan (MTP) and long-term plan (LTP) ;
- monitor financial and cash performance (Cash-flow projections), to initiate corrective actions and to minimize the impact of variances;
- report financial status by developing forecasts, reporting results, analyzing variances and develop improvements in appropriate time and respecting deadlines;
- provide strategic analysis to leadership on business models, evaluation of potential alliances, financial impact of contracts;
- plan to develop and to organize general accounting, IT, accounts payable, and accounts receivable and insurance.
- Supervising Accounting Team
- Working with LCRC (Canada) accentuating team to coordinate reports, budgets and financials. Plan re-financing and cash-flow needs.
- nsure compliance with BA&BE principles;
- Put in place wire and online payments system, minimizing the usage of checks;
- Other duties as requested by the LCS Head of BSA;
- Delegate and coach the Team as appropriate day to day accounting and reporting;
- Generate periodic financial reports in appropriate time and respecting deadlines;
What we expect of you
Qualifications and experience:
- Degree in finance business or related field, ideally a degree in accounting or finance;
- Experience in financial planning and strategy of 5-10 years;
- Strong experience in payroll and related matters:
- Forecasting, corporate finance, developing budgets, financial skills and dealing with complexity
- Strong analytical skills and business acumen
- Proficient English language skills, orally and in writing (excellent verbal and written communication);
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide recipient-oriented reports to different management levels;
- Excellent ability to explain financial and accounting concepts to all levels and personnel from diverse backgrounds;
- Experience in working with and managing relationships with staff and collaborators from multicultural backgrounds;
- Ability to build relationships, influence service providers, staff, and licensees.
