Main Goal
The purpose of this position is to lead and integrate all Product Development activities for Hazera in South American for all the crops in the territory. You are responsible for driving the commercial success of Hazera’s vegetable seed portfolio by managing both pre-commercial and commercial trials, building strong customer relationships, and serving as the local crop expert. The position bridges technical product development with market-driven sales initiatives to maximize market presence, customer satisfaction, and business growth across the assigned territory. You will be a member of the commercial division, reporting directly to Product Development Manager in LATAM.
Job description
- Co-create, support, and execute the Product Development Manager’s strategic plan for your area.
- Strengthen grower networks and conduct targeted outreach to expand Hazera’s market presence.
- Analyze market trends and participate in variety advancements decisions to drive innovation and ensure successful product launches.
- Take full responsibility for all pre-, and -commercial trials: planning, grower identification, contracting, sowing, transplanting, and evaluation.
- Ensure trials and field activities comply with Hazera guidelines
- Collect and process trial evaluation data, providing weekly updates and monthly reports.
- Define value proposition and selling points for each new variety.
- Ensure knowledge transfer to Sales, Marketing and other PD members.Coordinate product development activities with internal stakeholders and external partners.Support claims and complaints management.
- Assist R&D activities as needed.
- Actively promote Hazera products and generate grower demand.
- Maintain strong relationships with key growers and dealer reps.
- Support and participate in variety launch plans and promotional activities (trade shows, field days, etc).
- Organize and host international visitors, including trial visits and facility tours.Collaborate on market intelligence, annual market value updates, and grower mapping.
What we expect of you
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in the vegetable seed business and agronomy; internships, part‑time roles, or other practical student work may be considered as qualifying experience for entry‑level candidates.
- Bachelor’s degree in agricultural science or related field.
- Proven knowledge of field trials operations.
- Ability to translate technical data into commercial insights
- Expertise in MS Office; strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work with digital trial tools, databases, CRM, internal PD systems
- Commercial aptitude, proactiveness, and autonomy in agenda/travel planning.
- Willingness to travel and work under variable environmental conditions.
- Flexible working hours during growing seasons.
- Medium level of English (spoken and written).
- Comfortable working in multicultural, international teams
- Valid driver’s license.
