Job description
Roles & Responsibilities
• Take full responsibility for all pre‑commercial and commercial trials, dedicating most of your time to product
development of our high‑tech tomato program and additional time to commercial trialing and sales
follow‑up for our existing CEA portfolios in other crops. This includes planning trials, identifying and
contracting growers, coordinating sowing and transplanting, and conducting thorough evaluations
throughout the season.
• Strengthen grower networks and conduct targeted outreach to expand Hazera’s market presence.
• Analyze market trends and identify variety advancements to drive innovation and enable successful
product launches.
• Collect and process trial evaluation data, keeping the organization updated.
• Coordinate product development activities with internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Support the management of claims and complaints.
• Co‑create and execute the product development plan and support the sales plan for your area in
collaboration with your manager.
• Actively promote Hazera products and generate grower demand.
• Participate in key account meetings, preparing forecasts and strategies.
• Maintain strong relationships with key growers and dealer representatives, and ensure CRM data remains
up to date'
• Support and participate in variety launch plans and promotional activities (trade shows, demo trials, etc.) and delivering clear, concise messaging and actively promoting your crops at trade shows and across digital platforms.
What we expect of you
Requirements
• Minimum of three years of relevant experience in the high-tech (CEA) vegetable industry, including
hands-on work with fruiting vegetable crops—preferably tomatoes—and the ability to communicate
effectively with growers. Internships, part-time roles, or student projects may be considered for entry-level
candidates.
• Relevant education such as a bachelor’s degree in agricultural science, agronomy, horticulture, or
equivalent experience. A master’s degree in a related field is an advantage.
• Demonstrated commercial aptitude, proactiveness, and strong autonomy in managing travel and agenda
planning.
• Proven ability to set up and manage trials, collect data, assess traits, analyze results, and translate findings
into clear commercial insights for the market positioning of new varieties.
• Strong organizational and decision-making skills, with proficiency in digital tools such as Microsoft Office,
CRM systems, and data-collection software.
• A precise, open, and entrepreneurial mindset, with comfort working remotely in an international,
initiative-driven team environment supported by the broader Limagrain Group.
• Ability to build, maintain, and expand a relevant network in the high-tech vegetable industry.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written); Spanish is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours during growing seasons.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in Canada at the time of application and throughout the duration of employment.
This position’s range is $80,000 - $95,000
Our total compensation and pay ranges reflect our market pay structures. As such, individual salaries or hourly rates are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: local geographical market conditions, internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as job related skills, education, and experience.
