Job Description: 

Role & responsibilities

 

We are looking for a seed quality expert with in depth knowledge on onion (long & extra-long day), leek, cucumber, radish and brassica seeds to:

  • Manage customer claims and product quality non-conformities
    • Perform in depth root cause analysis based on hard facts
    • Support the sales team in managing and resolving customer claims, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
    • Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented to avoid recurrence.
  • Manage derogations : Evaluate quality and business risks as part of the derogation process in case seed quality is not at the level expected and propose mitigation or alternative solutions
  • Ensure that the derogations, claims and product quality non-conformities are handled in a timely, controlled, traceable, and risk-assessed manner while balancing business needs.
  • Product Quality Expertise: Support decision-making processes by providing expert quality knowledge and recommendations (including on Quality control tests) to minimize costs, lead time, increase yields and productivity whilst improving the quality of final products and processes.
  • Perform internal audits.

Candidate profile

 

* Agronomist or Academic degree - Agriculture/Biology;

* In depth knowledge on onion (long & extra-long day), leek, cucumber, radish and brassica seeds – business, processes, seed production, quality risks, standards and quality control tests,

* Proven long experience (5 to 7 years) in seed quality within the seed industry or a related field;

* Knowledge of quality assurance principles and seed regulatory requirements

* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

* Detail-oriented and data-driven mindset

* Well-organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

* Ability to collaborate with peers from various departments within an organization.

* Advanced computer experience required, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Visio.

* Fluent in Dutch and English - ability to communicate professionally, clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing.
* Strong motivation to drive change and continuous improvement in Hazera
