Product Manager Allium & Crucifers (temporary, 1 year)

Scope of position: 32h-40h
Accountability: Portfolio Marketing Director – Allium and Crucifers
Mission:
Assisting Product Managers in coordinating and monitoring the global breeding progress and regional development activities, management of the portfolio efficiently and profitably for a specific crop segment in order to achieve product leadership. Assisting in being the direct contact within Product Management for your stakeholders in the Commercial Department and working together within the team of Product Managers to develop and achieve a global strategy for the Allium and Crucifer crops.
Responsibilities
Overall role & responsibilities:
- Global portfolio management
- Managing the development pipeline from breeding to successful launching
- Creation of and analysing the results during the development phase together with stakeholders in Commercial department
Participate in updating & maintaining the Crop Business Plan:
- Market analysis together with country managers and Commercial managers
- Forecast of future products, currently in Development and challenge Commercial forecast of current products
Follow up on breeding projects:
- Coordinate and monitor breeding projects according to product definition
- Translate trends into breeding project proposals
- Recommend promotion from Breeding, Development and Commercial launching
Involvement in:
- Agro-Technical support (when required)
- Crop related Marcom activities (brochures, catalogues, open days)
- Supporting account management in the region
Candidate profile
- Exposure to agriculture and farming, along with experience in product management and business development will be a great plus. Experience in agronomy, agricultural engineering/science, business, marketing, or related fields is an advantage.
- Analytical, focused and well organized, good decision making, understanding prioritizing
- Team player with good communication, people skills and a convincing nature
- Commercial and flexible attitude with the ability to guide and motivate the PD & Sales teams
- Good computer skills in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint)
- Fluent English language skills
