As an International Customer Service Specialist, you'll become part of a small, dedicated and enthusiastic team where collaboration, ownership and customer satisfaction come first. You'll be the connecting link between our customers, internal stakeholders and logistics partners, ensuring every order is handled with care from the moment it is received until the final delivery.

Responsibilities

- Manage the complete customer order lifecycle from order entry through final delivery.
- Review customer orders, clarify requirements and process them accurately in our ERP system.
- Be the primary point of contact for customers and Sales Managers throughout the order process.
- Coordinate order fulfilment with Commercial, Planning & Control, Production, Processing, Quality Control, Finance, Marketing and Management.
- Work closely with freight forwarders, shipping lines and customs brokers.
- Prepare and manage export documentation, including customs documentation, phytosanitary certificates, Certificates of Origin and other required export documents.
- Coordinate international air and sea shipments while balancing service, transit time and cost efficiency.
- Monitor shipments and proactively keep customers informed.
- Coordinate commercial, sample and breeding programme exports.
- Manage seed return processes when required.
- Support post-sales activities to ensure an excellent customer experience.
- Work with ERP, CRM, BI tools, Microsoft Office and specialised transport and phytosanitary software.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and contribute to continuous improvement across the team.

- MBO level 4 or HBO working and thinking level.
- At least 3 years of experience in an international commercial environment with export processes.
- Experience coordinating international air and sea shipments.
- Knowledge of export and customs documentation, including phytosanitary certificates, Certificates of Origin, Incoterms and Letters of Credit.
- Experience working with ERP, CRM and BI systems and Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication skills in Dutch and English.
- Experience within the seed industry is an advantage.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.

Recruitment process
Our recruitment process consists of two interviews (we may deviate from this process in particular cases, in which you will be informed in advance.)
The first interview focuses on understanding the candidate’s background, experience, and motivation for the role, as well as assessing overall fit.
The second interview is more in-depth and explores role-specific skills, competencies, and alignment with the team and company culture. A final decision is made following this stage.
