Main Goal

We are seeking a field-oriented Product Development (PD) Manager to lead product development activities across the Southern region of Israel. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of both the crop and the market. By combining agronomic expertise, field observations, grower feedback, and market insights, the successful candidate will help identify, evaluate, and advance promising varieties. The ideal candidate is independent, proactive, highly communicative, and capable of building strong relationships while effectively engaging internal and external stakeholders.

Job description

• Develop deep professional expertise in assigned crops, production systems, and market dynamics, and serve as a key knowledge resource within the organization.
• Identify, evaluate, and advance promising varieties by integrating field performance, grower feedback, market needs, and business considerations.
• Plan, coordinate, and manage seasonal trials and commercial evaluations, including field mapping, seed allocation, logistics, and execution across different geographical regions.
• Conduct hands-on field activities and variety assessments, including trial establishment, data collection, performance evaluation, documentation, and ongoing monitoring at growers’ locations.
• Analyze trial results and market information, identify key varietal advantages and opportunities, and provide recommendations to support product development and portfolio decisions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with growers and serve as a key interface between Product Development, Breeding, Sales, Marketing, and other internal stakeholders.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities to support future product development priorities.
• Independently manage activities throughout Southern Israel, including planning field visits, prioritizing workloads, preparing technical reports, and presenting findings and recommendations.

What we expect of you

• B.Sc. in Agronomy, Plant Science, or a related field - required
• M.Sc. in Agronomy, Plant Science, or a related field - advantage
•  1-3  years of experience in agriculture, agronomy, product development, or a related field.
• Willingness to driving extensively across Israel- Valid driving license is a must
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, self-motivated with teamwork abilities.
