Main Goal

The Plant Manager will be responsible for the overall leadership and performance of the Seed Processing Plant, managing approximately 40 employees across multiple operational domains. A core mission of the role is to ensure that production is executed efficiently, delivering the right volumes, at the right time, and at the expected quality standards to meet customer needs. This includes end-to-end responsibility for processing activities, logistics, planning, and continuous improvement, along with high-level oversight of plant maintenance. The role also includes ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and full ownership of the plant’s budget and investment planning. The role requires strong managerial capabilities, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to drive efficiency and alignment across Hazera’s supply chain. It also involves active participation in leadership forums within Hazera and the Limagrain group.

Job description

  • Lead, coach, and manage the plant’s leadership team — including department managers, planning and continuous improvement leads, and administration — to drive alignment, ownership, and execution
  • Ensure safety and quality standards are met by enforcing procedures, monitoring compliance, and promoting a culture of responsibility and continuous improvement.
  •  Manage all plant operations — including seed disinfection, cleaning, seed priming process and enhancement treatments, warehousing, and packing — while overseeing all maintenance requirements and ensuring implementation of the annual preventive maintenance plan.
  •  Monitor and analyze operational performance to identify gaps, lead data-driven improvement initiatives, and drive projects that enhance processing practices, efficiency, and supporting tools.
  • Manage the operational budget and investment plan to ensure cost efficiency, resource optimization, and alignment with strategic goals.
  •  Strong collaboration and good communication with key stakeholders across Hazera to ensure alignment with supply chain processes and company goals — alongside coordination with global interfaces, including the plant manager in the Netherlands and relevant counterparts within the Limagrain group.
  •  Take an active leadership role in cross-functional forums and management teams, including the Hazera Supply Chain Management Team (MT) and other relevant leadership forums within Hazera and the Limagrain group.

What we expect of you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  •  At least 5 years of managerial experience in industrial or production operations, within a global environment with international interfaces.
  •  Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, set objectives, manage performance, drive change, and build strong connections with employees on the ground.
  • Experience with LEAN methodologies and continuous improvement processes
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills based on data and performance metrics
  •  Experience in budgeting, resource planning, and investment management
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across local and global interfaces
  • Hands-on, accountable, and proactive leadership style with a focus on results
