Main Goal
The General Manager (GM) of Hazera Balkans is responsible for driving strategic and
commercial development across Greece, the Balkans peninsula, and Cyprus.
He Works in close collaboration with the Commercial Director Europe, local teams, Balkan
distributors, and colleagues throughout the Limagrain Vegetable Seeds (LVS)
division. This leadership role focuses on strengthening Hazera’s market position, achieving
sustainable business growth, and ensuring operational excellence across the
region.

Strategy & Growth
- Drive market expansion and sustainable growth across Greece and the Balkans by analyzing market trends, competition, and customer needs to shape strategy.
- Build and manage strong distributor and partner relationships.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction and business continuity (supply, talent, planning).
Commercial & Financial Performance
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and KPI management, including full P&L responsibility
- Delivery sales, profitability, and market share targets.
- Optimize go-to-market strategy (pricing, distribution, key accounts, portfolio).
- Oversee marketing plans and campaigns.
Operations & Governance
- Ensure compliance with legal and corporate standards.
- Drive continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration.
- Build synergies with regional stakeholders and business units.
People & Leadership
- Lead and develop a high-performing team.
- Translate strategy into clear goals and execution plans.
- Foster accountability, collaboration, and a learning culture.
- Develop talent and support succession planning.
What we expect of you
- Higher educational level in Agriculture and/or Business Administration/ Finance / etc.
- Strong understanding of the vegetable seed industry or professional agricultural Markets.
- Minimum 7 years of experience managing teams in a complex, international agricultural or related environment.
- Proven experience leading commercial teams and delivering results.
- Hands‑on, independent, proactive, and solutions‑oriented leadership style.
- Fluent in English and Greek.
- Romanian or Bulgarian is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel (approximately 15–20% of working time) within Greece and the Balkans region, and occasionally internationally.
- The position is located in Athens.
