Function

As a key member of the Global Supply Chain Leadership Team, you act as a pivotal stakeholder, driving end-to-end alignment and high-level collaboration with peers.

In this role, you lead and oversee all activities related to agronomic production and seed supply within the business unit. You define and execute HM.CLAUSE’s global strategy in line with LVS Ambition 2030, ensuring full alignment with the Limagrain Vegetable Seeds (LVS) Business Line.

Managing a significant global procurement budget, you drive the transformation of production systems and build strategic partnerships to optimize our global network. You take key decisions on processes and organization to achieve global targets for seed availability, quality, and cost-efficiency, while building a resilient, data-driven Supply Chain.

 

This position is located in Portes-Lès-Valences (France), or Davis (United States).

Job Missions

1. Global Production Strategy & Governance

  • Define the global seed production strategy aligned with LVS long‑term ambitions.
  • Develop mid‑term roadmaps with clear performance targets (yield, reliability, quality, cost).
  • Integrate global challenges such as climate variability, regulatory evolution, cost dynamics, carbon footprint, and working capital
  • Ensure alignment with global seed supply needs and mitigate quality‑related risks.
  • Ensures production resilience and develop risk management approaches to  safeguard operational continuity.
  • Define the strategic framework for Home Farms in collaboration with LVS sister companies and global partners.

 

2. Operational Excellence & Performance

  • Validate and coordinate global crop plans to ensure disciplined planning and seamless execution.
  • Optimize production schemes (countries, regions, outsourcing models, supplier networks) to enhance reliability, competitiveness, and resilience.
  • Drive a strong KPI culture to identify performance opportunities.
  • Deploy data‑driven operating frameworks to improve visibility, data accuracy, and reporting consistency.
  • Implement digital tools and predictive systems (crop inspection, process tracking) to support continuous improvement.

 

3. Financial Leadership & Cost Optimization

  • Lead the global seed procurement budget, including preparation, arbitration, financial reviews, compliance, and forecast accuracy.
  • Ensure adherence to procurement budget.
  • Collaborate with Finance to strengthen OPEX/CAPEX discipline and improve analytical reporting.
  • Optimize production costs and reduce uncontrolled inventory through rigorous financial and operational management.

 

4. People Leadership & Organizational Development

  • Inspire, coach, and develop managers and regional teams to build a cohesive, high‑performing global organization.
  • Strengthen organizational foundations: clear roles, empowered delegation, effective routines, and transparent communication.
  • Promote CARE values: collaboration, accountability, respect and entrepreneurship while ensuring a strong Quality Health Safety and Environment culture.
  • Support talent development through coaching, training, empowerment, and succession planning.

 

5. Partnerships & stakeholders Management

  • Drive cross-functional synergy as a strategic partner within the Global Supply Chain Team, working closely with peers to optimize the interface between production, planning, Quality Control and manufacturing.
  • Manage strategic relationships with production partners, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure reliable and competitive sourcing.
  • Represent HM.CLAUSE and LVS in key industry organizations to strengthen influence within the global vegetable seed ecosystem.

 

6. Risk Management & Compliance

  • Control critical processes (IP Protection, STS), and ensure full regulatory traceability across all activities.
  • Proactive Risk Mapping in maintaining mitigation plans for climate, phytosanitary, and geopolitical risks through structured monitoring and scenario planning.

What we expect of you

You are a technically strong and business-oriented leader, capable of bridging long-term strategy with field execution. You combine operational rigor with agility and thrive in multicultural, matrixed environments where influence matters. You are comfortable managing ambiguity and high expectations while maintaining a strong focus on results.

  • 10+ years in agronomic production or seed supply, including international leadership.
  • Strong technical expertise in seed production (vegetable or field seeds).
  • Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-country operations.
  • Solid financial acumen with the ability to build, monitor and explain budgets at scale.
  • Demonstrated success in performance management and operational productivity improvement.
  • Experience leading change and transformation in complex environments.
  • Executive presence to represent the company with strategic vendors and partners.
  • Strong coaching and influencing skills.
  • Fluency in English (French or Spanish is a plus).
  • Willingness to travel internationally (30%+).
