Job Description: 

Main Goal

As the Production & Seed Supply Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our organization's global production and seed supply operations.

You will be responsible for assessing and monitoring the financial performance of the production department, including home farms and the global grower’s network & vendors, as well as managing the seed supply envelope rolling forecast and monitoring versus targets. Additionally, you will be tasked with overseeing & coordinating the unit costs calculation for our HomeFarms, participating in OPEX and CAPEX budgeting, forecasting, and monitoring activities, and overseeing CAPEX project management, including ROI analysis, financial consequences, and project advancement tracking.

You will promote the financial & production activity awareness throughout the organization, and you will seek to develop business partnering relationships by supporting, challenging, and influencing the Production management team.

Eagerness to learn and develop an expertise of production operating processes & flows along with genuine curiosity of our industry will be critical to succeed in this function.

Job description

Financial Performance Assessment and Monitoring

  • Develop and implement financial KPIs for Production activities, including scorecards monthly reporting.
  • Evaluate and monitor the financial performance of the production department, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with the production team to analyze production metrics, identify trends, and propose actionable improvements.
  • Assess the financial performance of home farms, the global growers’ network & vendors, identifying areas for optimization.
  • Build a standard model for Production (Home Farms, Grower Network & vendors) to evaluate the optimized financial resources to fulfill the expected level of activity.
  • Train stakeholders and ensure a good understanding of the financial KPIs and their contribution to the BU financial performance.

 

Seed Supply Management & S&OP Process

  • Calculate the global seed supply envelope rolling forecast, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Monitor seed supply performance against targets, proactively addressing any deviations.
  • Act as S&OP Process stakeholder during the Seed Supply Review meetings.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to optimize seed supply chain operations.

 

Production Unit Cost Calculation

  • Collaborate with the production and finance teams to ensure accurate and transparent cost allocation.
  • Calculate and maintain detailed records of production unit costs for services provided to sister BUs.

 

Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Participate in OPEX and CAPEX budgeting processes, providing insights and recommendations.
  • Assist in the development of financial forecasts and track actual performance against forecasts and budget.
  • Predict the impact on unit costs of future products or projects based on historical data and assumptions for the future (including evolutions of SC processes & level of activities).


CAPEX Project Management

  • Lead CAPEX project evaluation, including ROI analysis and financial consequences assessment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure CAPEX projects align with strategic goals.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of CAPEX projects, tracking milestones and budgets.
  • Provide recommendations and corrective actions if CAPEX projects deviate from the plan.

What we expect of you

•    3-5 years of experience in finance (FP&A, Audit, Consulting or Accounting).
•    Master’s degree in accounting, Finance or Engineering with Finance emphasis.
•    Fluent in French & English mandatory
•    Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
•    Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
•    Industry: Agriculture, Manufacturing, Consumer Industry, Processing, Automotive all qualify.
