Job description

You will be a great fit if you have experience similar to: 

• Provide input for daily & weekly planning of department schedule including operator assignments, equipment selection, or deviation from the plan.

• Provide leadership and overall seed quality expertise to plant activities.

• Assist Supervisor by ensuring your team follows all established plant procedures (Safety, Quality, HR, etc.).

• Conduct tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.

• Ensure all equipment is properly calibrated and routinely inspected. • Delegate tasks and set deadlines.

• Participate in the team development providing hands on training to Plant Operators and providing input for disciplinary actions of his/her team members to the supervisor.

• Perform and act as Supervisor while in their absence.

• Active positive participation in company programs and initiatives.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment; participate and may lead safety initiatives.

• Able to operate all machinery within assigned department as needed.

• Responsible for product quality assessments and adherence to product specifications.

• Maintain integrity and accuracy in data entry.

Responsibilities

To be considered, you will need:

• GED, High School Diploma, or equivalent experience.

• 2 years of HM.Clause experience, or 2 years of Leadership experience in a manufacturing environment

• Intermediate Skills in Microsoft Suite Programs including Excel and Word

• Must have experience using WMS and ERP programs (JDE, RFGEN, SAP, etc.)

• Forklift certified; Chemical applicators certificate may be required or ability to obtain within 8 months of hire date

  • This position’s range is $23 - $28/hr

Our total compensation and pay ranges reflect our market pay structures.  As such, individual salaries or hourly rates are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: local geographical market conditions, internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as job related skills, education, and experience.
