Job description

You will be a great fit if you have experience similar to: 

Shelling, cleaning and evaluating of foundation seed.
Equipment operation and maintenance.
Small plot seed preparation, organization and planting.
Small packet seed preparation, organization and packaging for quality trials.
Develop reports, maintain roguing and field records, communicate regularly with colleagues.  
Supervise and lead (bean and sweet corn) roguing and (sweet corn) hand-pollination crews during the summer.
Assist during harvest of sweet corn seed crops.
Assist with shelling of sweet corn seed crops.
Responsible for cleaning the foundation sweet corn seed.

While performing the duties of this job the employee will be driving cars, trucks, forklifts, or other equipment. This position will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.  The employee may need to walk on uneven ground, work near equipment or machinery, and may be exposed to vibration or constant movement. The noise level that is typical of this work environment is loud. 

What we expect of you

To be considered, you will need: 

High School degree required; AA or BA/BS degree in Agronomy preferred or equivalent related work experience. 
Ability to read and write in English.  
Ability to operate a Windows based computer operating system.
Previous agricultural experience.
