Job description
You will be a great fit if you have experience similar to:
· Assist Department Supervisor in planning, directing, and monitoring production to meet established specifications, schedules, volume/cost/wastage targets, and quality standards.
· Liaising with Processing, Supply & Logistics, Sales, etc. as input to developing production schedules and allocating labor/capital resources
· Planning, prioritizing, and managing production line maintenance/downtime to minimize disruptions by using established maintenance tracking tools.
· Help understand and manage and communicate the performance indicators.
· Monitor the action plans.
· Occasionally carry out supervisory duties, by delegation from their line manager.
· Help create new standards with teams. · Take part in the implementation of standards through team training and support.
· Coordinate work groups.
· Analyze performance to help with decision-making (using continuous improvement tools: QRQC, Gemba walk, etc.)
· Provide support to the department manager and workshop managers:
· Centralize and keep the departments’ action plans on schedule.
· Report SQDCM indicators (day, week, and month)
· Help department managers on daily routines.
What we expect of you
To be considered, you will need:
· Minimum high school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred
· Minimum of 2 – 6 years related experience
· Knowledge of office functions and processes, including MS Office and JDE a benefit.
· Excellent analytical and deductive reasoning skills.
· Excellent organizational and communication skills.
· Fluent in English. Spanish or French a plus
· Experience with continuous improvement programs and/or LEAN manufacturing desired.
