Quality Control
Main Goal
The primary function of this position is to perform day-to-day molecular lab activities required for SNP testing. This position also needs to communicate with QC team members and with internal stakeholders (Supply chain Planning, Production team) for sample shipments & results coordination.
Job description
- Laboratory operations
In charge & responsible for carrying out daily lab activities as below:
- Sample management - Seed & Leaf Sampling, Buffer preparations, sample storage.
- Perform routinely DNA extraction and q-PCR assays.
- Data analysis, results interpretation & updating in LIMS within stipulated Turn Around Time.
- To troubleshoot the errors occurred during experiments.
- Laboratory Innovations
- To involve in different process improvements for cost reduction, process time reduction, to increase per day lab capacity etc.
- Supporting in preparation of Standard Operating Procedures.
- Work with regional QC teams for molecular test improvements on local and regional project.
- Laboratory maintenance
Laboratory maintenance responsibilities include, but are not limited to,
- Maintain Functionality of lab equipment & troubleshoot the equipment problems in coordination with service
engineers.
- Maintain the lab records.
- Maintain inventories of reagents, other supplies & communicates with company representative on purchases
& Quotations.
What we expect of you
- Hands on experience in seed and leaf sampling, DNA Extraction, PCR, data interpretation.
- Comprehensive knowledge in other genetic purity testing methods.
- Proficient in MS office, mainly in Excel skills.
- Soft skills: curious, rigorous, analytic, and methodic.
- Process oriented, agile, and self-motivation are essential for this position
- Good interpersonal skills, communication skills, team leader.
- Ability to learn new techniques quickly.
