Job description

You will be a great fit if you have experience similar to: 

As a PERFORMANCE Coordinator:  

Assist in the development and maintain the in-house ELITE operational excellence program. This includes assisting in driving 5S, SIM compliance through regular internal audits as well as assisting the Performance & Quality Manager in the implementation of other ELITE tools such as Gemba walks, Problem-solving tools, D.O.W.N.T.I.M.E, SMED etc…  

Support the Performance & Quality Manager in creating strategies to reduce waste. 

Train operators on the ELITE methodologies locally.  

Ensure ELITE progress by reinforcing already deployed practices and deploy next practices with a sense of priority. Track the progress and follow-up. 

Support consolidating performance reporting via Excel and Fastfield application and routine animation. 

As a QUALITY Coordinator:  

Support Modesto plant to master product quality through the Quality roadmap set. 

Support Performance & Quality Manager by investigating all internal and external quality complaints and support the plant departments in developing problem-solving methodology, implementing improvement actions, & follow-up. 

Audit the accuracy and quality of samples taken throughout the plant by reviewing and auditing the sampling process, ensuring calibration of equipment and training of operators following external guidelines ISTA, NAL and NSHS.   

Perform quarterly scale calibrations to ensure compliance, update calibration records in the Hippo maintenance software, and monitor scales for any needed repairs 

Assist the Performance & Quality Manager for any external accreditations and certifications. 

Assist with the tasks & activities related to the cross-functional network of QA Relay officers to ensure updated work instructions are available on the Aquarius system.  

Provide daily/weekly continuous improvement reports & Follow-up with appropriate stakeholders. 

Attend monthly quality meetings and support the Performance & Quality Manager in tracking and following up on action items related to Gemba walks, internal NCs and Customer claims. 

Conduct regular pest control inspections, identifying key areas for improvement and setting action steps and future focus points. 

Support and develop other projects as assigned per Performance & Quality Manager 

Support the development of Safety throughout the Plant. 

What we expect of you

To be considered, you will need: 

Bachelor’s degree is required. 

Excel skills intermediate level required 

Minimum of 2 – 5 years related experience in related field 

Knowledge of office functions and processes, including MS Office and JDE a benefit. 

Excellent analytical and deductive reasoning skills. 

Excellent organizational and communication skills. 

Fluent in English. Spanish or French a plus. 

Experience with Continuous improvement programs and/or LEAN manufacturing is required.  

Experience in Food Safety or Food Quality is a plus.

o    This position’s range is $27 - $35/hr
