The Demand Manager will play a pivotal role in leading and managing the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, ensuring alignment between demand and supply. This role involves consolidating regional forecasts, analyzing demand versus supply, and communicating effectively with forecasters to address inventory challenges. The Demand Manager will also be responsible for communication of product allocation, business analysis, and capacity planning alignment.

Job description

Leading S&OP Demand Review:
•    Facilitate and lead the monthly S&OP Demand Review meetings.
•    Ensure accurate and timely consolidation of regional forecasts.
•    Analyze, challenge, and track current and future forecast changes and impact to supply within a 1 to 36-month window.
Forecast Analysis and Management:
•    Consolidate regional forecasts and analyze demand versus supply. 
•    Aid in the develop demand versus supply reconciliation methodology to deploy globally.  
•    Work closely with regional forecasters to understand timing and communicate projected shortages and excess inventory.
•    Suggest solutions to mitigate inventory challenges and optimize supply chain efficiency.
S&OP Key Role:
•    Act as a key participant in the S&OP process, ensuring cross-functional alignment.
•    Provide insights and recommendations to improve the S&OP process.
•    Support the release process for global consolidation.
Regional Prorate Notification:
•    Ensure timely communication for prorate notification to Sales Planning with collaboration with Supply Chain Planning and relevant stakeholders.
•    Partner with sales planning to ensure accurate and timely product allocation reviews on open orders.
•    Partner with the sales team for alternatives utilizing excess inventory 
Business Analysis:
•    Conduct business analysis including Product Lifecycle (PLC) review, Safety Stock review, Product Allocation (PA) review, Excess Inventory review, and market share growth projects partnering with the appropriate stakeholders.
•    Provide actionable insights to support operations, marketing and sales strategies.
Capacity Planning Alignment:
•    Partner with Regional Manager to align capacity planning with demand to ensure optimal resource utilization.
•    Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to balance capacity and demand.
 Communication: 
•    Marketing and Sales meetings: identify market trends to anticipate and suggest appropriate stock levels
•    Ensure prorates are communicated to Sales Data Planning (SDP) on supply trend (stock quality, etc.) and exception forecast 
•    Collaborate with (SDP), understand sales trends and dynamics, impact to supply planning 
•    Collaborate with Regional S&OP Manager to optimize factory capacity and meet customer demand
•    Communicate with urgency, concise analysis of gaps between supply and demand to all stakeholders including Regional S&OP Manager, Marketing, SDP and Sales
Continuous Improvement:
•    Identify gaps in process that are driving repeat offenses in supply level metrics
•    Study quality parameters, trends, stock levels and identify root causes using quantitative support

Performance Objectives – Manages Resources, Develops Members, Active Contributor  
•    Optimizes team resources by evaluating team member’s skills and interests
•    Provides individuals training to meet current and future goals 
•    Effectively communicates performance standards and supports team as an individual contributor
•    Reviews historical data to proactively anticipate trends and staffing levels

What we expect of you

To be considered, you will need: 

•    Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
•    Minimum of 5 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain management, or related roles.
•    Experience with S&OP processes and tools.
•    Knowledge of market analysis and business strategy development.
•    Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
•    Proficiency in demand planning mathematics and software and tools.
•    Ability to create SQL/Excel files for complementary analyses
•    Working knowledge of Business Intelligence tools or reports
•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•    Ability to influence cross-functionally to drive process improvements.
•    Experience with MPR/ERP (JD Edwards/JDE), SAP or Oracle
•    Proficient in a Windows-based PC environment (PowerPoint, Word, Excel required)
•    APICS or another certification advantageous

HM.CLAUSE offers a strong compensation and benefits package to its employees:
•    Competitive salary
o    This position’s range is $101,000 - $127,000
Our total compensation and pay ranges reflect our market pay structures.  As such, individual salaries or hourly rates are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: local geographical market conditions, internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as job related skills, education, and experience.
