Job description

You will be a great fit if you have experience similar to: 

• Leading team of seasonal/contract workers for tasks including greenhouse plant care, pollinations, sowing, transplanting, harvesting, seed extraction, seed disinfection, seed packaging, and tissue sampling; also performing these tasks and/or training others to perform them, as needed.
• Data collection, data entry, and reports
• Process seed requests: seed packaging, shipping, and record keeping.
• Maintain and update seed inventory in breeding database.
• Maintain supply inventory, and ensure adequate supplies are re-stocked before needed.
• Learn relevant functions of breeding database, to assist with data entry, updates, and reports, as needed.
• Accurate labelling of plants in greenhouse, field plots, and seed packets
• May work in the field, greenhouse, lab, office, and other work environments required by the position.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed

What we expect of you

To be considered, you will need: 

• Valid US driver’s license.
• High School Diploma required, with either relevant education, or experience preferred
• Great interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office.
• Detail oriented and able to perform accurate data entry.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to arrange for occasional travel; includes some work off-site
• Flexible workday/hours schedule possible
• Spanish language is a plus
