Main Goal
For conducting seed health testing on PCR, ELISA, Dilution plating, Blotter test and other diagnostic methods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in pathogens diagnostics and reporting. Seed sampling for laboratory testing follow ISTA/ISHI standard method. Activities of document management and quality assurance as per company standard.
Job description
1.Conduct Seed Health testing activities including viruses and viroids detection by PCR and ELISA, Bacteria detection by dilution plating and PCR, Fungi detection by blotter test and other diagnostic methods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in pathogens diagnostics and reporting.
2.Conduct seed sampling for laboratory testing as per ISTA standard method.
3.Preparing samples for each lab test methods as per standard operating procedures.
4.Planning and conducting for inter-lab and intra-lab, follow up the result, analyze and summarize of data.
5.Maintaining Masterfile, lab records and result reports in standard format.
6.Activities to monitor temperature in various incubators, growth room and chambers to ensure that the tests are conducted accurately and consistently.
7.Inventory management of chemicals and lab supplies and maintain lab in clean and safe manner.
8.Monitor lab environments to prevent contamination in SHT working area.
9.Ensuring that all seed health testing activities are performed in compliance with global standard.
10.Uphold safety, compliance, and company standards in all lab processes.

Functional Knowledge: Extensive knowledge in specialized functions. A wide and comprehensive acquaintance with, and understanding of, both general and specific aspects of the job and their practical application to complex problems and situations ordinarily encountered.
Required Skills: Plant pathology, ELISA, PCR, Microsoft office suite, Lab management, Lab consumable inventory management, Process improvement, KPI management.
Behaviour Skills: Communication, teamwork, collaboration, adaptability, problem-solving, empathy, and emotional intelligence.
