Main Goal
Conducting Optimal Germination tests in the germination lab. This includes managing the workload, planning temporary labor support, and resources to ensure the timely availability of results. And support other QC test activities.
Job description
Scheduling, planning and conducting the Optimal Germination test.
• Maintaining all Germination lab Facilities and Equipment
• Sourcing and quantifying materials.
• Monitoring the Germ lab temp staff
• Preparing seed samples for the germination test and following the instructions of the germination specialist
• Testing of samples for germ on daily basis within TAT & KPI
• Evaluate samples according to ISTA & lab rules
• Result entry in StarLIMS and managing the master file.
• To assist the germination specialist in ensuring seed quality according to company standards.
• Ensure safety at the workplace
• Supporting other seed physiology tests viz., Usable transplant test, TZ test, Moisture & purity.
• Need based support in genetic and seed health lab.
• Track all QC samples and results, ensuring data integrity
What we expect of you
• Reasonable knowledge on seed testing activities
• Numeracy skills with a good understanding of percentages.
• Good written and verbal communication skills (Telugu/Hindi, English).
• MS Office- Excel & Word
• Manage work pressure effectively
• Test/lab planning/management skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Value Ethics and the organization’s culture.
• Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
• Ability to self-manage, prioritize and work under pressure to tight deadlines
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, lab workers and external stakeholders
