Job description
You will be a great fit if you have experience similar to:
Leadership and Management:
• Lead and manage a teams across Payroll, General Accounting, Accounts Payable, Treasury, and Tax departments.
• Train, mentor, and recommend staffing changes to ensure a highly skilled team aligns with the company’s objectives
• Collaborate with Human Resources, subsidiary leadership, and finance teams to streamline processes and support business goals.
Financial Reporting and Compliance:
• Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including IFRS and US GAAP reporting.
• Lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Manage audit processes for financial statements, tax compliance, pension plans, 401k, and related areas.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, and partner with external advisors for tax filings and audits.
Budgeting, Forecasting, and Analysis:
• Prepare financial budgets, cash flow statements, and currency forecasts across six different currencies.
• Develop and monitor financial key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational results.
• Analyze financial performance against budgets and provide insights to management for strategic decision-making.
Treasury and Cash Management:
• Oversee treasury operations, including cash forecasts, liquidity reporting, and AR factoring.
• Monitor cash accounts, pooling arrangements, and bank-related transactions (interest and fees).
• Manage foreign currency forecasts and consolidation of foreign bank accounts (Fbar).
Tax and Regulatory Compliance:
• Ensure timely preparation and filing of federal, state, and international tax returns, including R&D tax credits and import/export duties.
• Implement tax planning strategies and maintain compliance with evolving legislation.
• Manage intercompany reconciliations and transfer pricing.
Payroll, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable:
• Supervise a payroll process for employees and support payroll-related queries and compliance .
• Oversee AR functions, including monitoring open balances, credit policies, and treasury activities.
• Manage AP processes, including vendor payments, corporate card programs, and expense reporting via Basware.
Strategic Planning and Consulting:
• Act as a consultant on financial strategies, including mergers, acquisitions, and debt financing.
• Partner with external auditors, procurement, and global finance teams to improve systems and controls.
• Represent finance in various committees related to retirement, health, welfare, and fleet management.
Process Improvement and Internal Controls:
• Implement and document effective processes to enhance the close and reporting cycles.
• Maintain adequate internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure efficient operations.
• Evaluate and recommend procedural improvements for operational effectiveness.
Special Projects and Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Assist with capital expenditure (CapEx) monitoring and reporting.
• Lead projects involving US-China tariffs, duty drawback programs, and compliance with import/export regulations.
• Collaborate with procurement teams on vendor management and policy development
What we expect of you
To be considered, you will need:
• BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or related major
• CPA certification or advanced degree required.
• 7+ years of experience in financial management
• Excellent computer skills
• JD Edwards, SAP BFC, Basware and/or Kyriba experience desired
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Advanced knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
• Bilingual in French or Spanish language a plus

HM.CLAUSE offers a strong compensation and benefits package to its employees:

- This position’s range is $123,000 - $170,000
Our total compensation and pay ranges reflect our market pay structures. As such, individual salaries or hourly rates are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: local geographical market conditions, internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as job related skills, education, and experience.
