Job description
You will be a great fit if you have experience similar to:
• Work with the Small Seed Manager and Production Field representatives to produce the required quantities of Stock Seed and commercial seed, meeting the necessary quality standards.
• Work with the Production Managers to develop and maintain working relationship with area seed producers.
• Assist the Production representatives and grower with crop management, protection and quality issues.
• Assist the Parent Seed representative and Production representatives in field activities involving but not limited to planting, rouging, selection and genetic purity evaluations, as well as production research trials.
• Develop reports, maintain a field book; communicate with colleagues.
• May assist with the coordination of temporary contract labor.
• The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
What we expect of you
To be considered, you will need:
- Currently attending a College or University and have completed at least the Freshman year.
- Knowledge of vegetable seed production and general agricultural production preferred. Ability to deal with growers.
- Candidates with a background in agriculture and/or are currently enrolled in agricultural courses are preferred.
- Good project management skills.
- Ability to operate, transport and maintain farm and harvest equipment
- Ability to read and write in English
- Ability to operate a windows based computer system

o This position’s range is $21/hr
Our total compensation and pay ranges reflect our market pay structures. As such, individual salaries or hourly rates are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: local geographical market conditions, internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as job related skills, education, and experience.

While performing the duties of this job the employee will be driving cars, trucks, forklifts, or other equipment. This position will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
